THE EXPERIENCE
Sounds of the Ocean is a travelling immersive mindful exhibition to connect with marine life in support of ocean
conservation. We offer a multi-sensory experience that combines sound recordings of whales and dolphins, live music, original visual art and dance to build a deep connection to oneself and the ocean. This offering supports stress reduction and improves mental health, often leaving audiences in a deeply restful state. We raise awareness around the importance of protecting the oceans and fundraise for non-profit organizations around the world. Learn more at: www.soundsoftheocean.com

Emilie McGlone (Moderator)
Emilie McGlone has been working with Peace Boat since 2004 and currently is the United Nations liaison and Director of the New York-based office of Peace Boat US, a non-profit organization working to promote peace, sustainable development and respect for the environment through educational programs organized onboard the Peace Boat, a chartered passenger ship that travels the world on peace voyages. Peace Boat holds Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and works in partnership with UN representatives, Nobel Peace Laureates and community leaders from around the world to create opportunities for international cooperation focused on environmental sustainability, cultural awareness and peace education. Emilie works to foster youth education and develops specific programs to learn about important global issues onboard the Peace Boat.
Henk Rogers
Henk is one of the world’s leading advocates and activists for reducing, and eventually eliminating, humankind’s dependence on fossil fuel. He is the founder, visionary and chairman of the board at the BPA’s sister organization, Blue Planet Foundation, the tireless efforts of which helped pave the way for the State of Hawaii to draft a bill that mandates all its electric utilities rely on 100% renewable energy by 2045.
Carolina Sevilla
Carolina founded the 5 Minute Beach Cleanup Movement in 2016. She is a former diplomat with experience working at the United Nations’ Security Council and as a consul of Costa Rica in New York City for almost 6 years. Her work experience also includes a role as the Director of Operations for BIONIC, an engineering textile company that makes thread out of marine plastic.
Dörte Schneider
Living in Portugal since 2000, she has worked as an assistant director for 20 years and recently become a green consultant for film &tv. Her professional challenge is to turn the Portuguese film industry greener. Being passionate about sustainability and environmental issues also on a personal level, in 2018 Dörte co-founded LinDoMar, a group which organizes regular beach clean-ups in the Óbidos lagoon area. She is a member of United by The Sea, the Portuguese environmental NGO ZERO, the Portuguese marine litter association APLM, the German green consultant association BVGCD, Filmmakers for Future, an ambassador of the Creative Industries Pact for Sustainable Action and Green The Bid, and a Climate Reality Leader (trained in 2021)
Daniel Cervenka
Daniel is a producer, artist, and consultant with a focus on social impact and sustainability. He works with a diverse client base ranging from intergovernmental organizations, NGO's, to Fortune 500 companies. As a producer/director, he consults with the UNCTAD and DOALOS divisions of the United Nations to enhance the connection between the policymakers and the public through media. Daniel is the founder of The Convergence, an organization uniting experts, leaders, and creatives from across the globe to amplify a positive impact on the future of our planet through collaboration, multi-disciplinary projects, and philanthropic initiatives.

Joshua Sam Miller - Composer & Director
Joshua Sam Miller (IG: @joshua.sam.miller) is an international recording artist, immersive media producer and ocean conservationist from the United States. He has performed across North and Central America, Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia at festivals, conferences and retreat centers to spread the power of sound as a healing modality. Joshua grew up scuba diving and has developed a deep appreciation for the oceans. He loves guiding groups on a journey within to improve their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. He hosts The Embodied Sounds Podcast and is the founder of Embodied Sounds, an immersive media production company with a focus on social impact. https://www.joshuasammiller.com/
Elise Lein - Dancer & Co-Director
Elise Lein, (MPhil, IG: @elise_lein) is an acclaimed dancer, musician and environmental conservationist from Germany. Elise believes in dance and music as one’s true language of the soul and offers her authentic expression as a process of
deep healing and spiritual transformation – for oneself, our society and the environment. Growing up in a classically trained musical family, Elise began studying ballet and piano at age five, participating in many concerts and competitions. She has also worked as a producer on climate action documentaries in Europe and believes strongly in the path of transformation from mental/personal health to our global and environmental health.

Bruno Teixeira - Guest Musician & Sound Healer
Bruno Teixeira, founder of OM PazPazes, yoga and meditation teacher since 1999, is a composer multi-instrumentalist and sound healing practitioner based in Portugal, in Quinta PazPazes. Besides the solo concerts, he created and participate in several performative, ludo pedagogic, music therapeutic and meditative musical experiences like Moksha Sound Journeys project. He met the Didgeridoo in 1997 and since then he has been exploring the therapeutic (psychology, physiotherapy, yoga-therapy), pedagogical, recreational and socio-cultural benefits from this instrument. He is trained in Sound Massage and as developed is own terapêutic approach with Didgeridoos, Handpans, TongDrums (Rav Vast), Santoor, Tibetan and Cristal bowls, Gongs, címbalos, chímes, shantis, koshis, shakers, shekeres, wahwah, rain-effects, storm, wind-effects, ocean drum, cabaças d´água, xamânic drum, flutes (futujara, bansuris), shrutti-box, tampura, ngoni, kalimba-sanzula, tunning forks, percussions, voice.
